(no subject)

1. What is your favorite movie?
[The first Matrix movie. As far as I am concerned, they could have stopped there.]

2. What is the worst movie you have ever watched?
[The animated Lord of the Rings movie. Gandalf does an interpretive dance when talking about the ring. I think that I am scarred for life.]

3. What was the last movie you saw in the theatre?
[I have not actually seen a movie in theatre yet.]

4. Sugared or salted popcorn? Or maybe butter?
[Plain is best for throwing.]

5. Movie theatre or DVD?
[DVD. DVD means that there can be commentary from the audience without annoying other people (too much).]

OOC:

Good God, the animated Lord of the Rings gave me nightmares. Gollum scared me so badly that it took the new movies to get me to actually read the books.

*shudder!*

Yeah. I didn't watch the animated version until after I had read the books/seen the new movies.

The Animated movie taught me the following:
1) It is possible to snort semi-chewed peanuts out of your nose
2) The above really hurts
3) Gondor has no pants. Gondor needs no pants.

I saw it as a very, very small child. *weeps*

Aha! So THAT'S where the 'pants' LoTR joke originated!

Actually, I think that the "pants" joke came from one of those lists where you take lines out and replace words. Like Harry Potter and "wand" or Star Wars and "underpants".

But the Men of Gondor wore no pants. And Boromir was a viking! With man-panties!

Aw, that makes me wish we had the tapes of the first parts of that bad animated LOTR. I watched it since I was a child and I watched it so much that it never occured to me that it was really, really bad until I was older.

Gave him a huge nose?

I can't remember exactly what it was, but I recall being seriously bewildered by it. *grin* He's my favorite character and I remember watching him made me twitch a bit.

As did Eowyn's spider-eyelashes.

It's been a while since I've seen it, so I can't say. I just remember Sam kept going "Oh my master, you're poor hand, oh my master!" well, I remember he did other stuff too but that's the one I really remember.

Sam, Eowyn, and Faramir are all my favorite characters. Legolas and Aragorn used to be among them but now not so much.

Eowyn and Faramir are right up there with Sam for me too. Because they rock my socks.

The only other thing I recall was that they dropped the "S" off of "Saruman", I guess since they were worried that people would get confused with two baddies whose names both began with the letter "S".
